This page is devoted to my Baby. Her name Is Bewel (B-for Buick, ewel is short for *Jewel*.) Nice huh? I love this car.

This is my 1983 Buick Regal wagon. I first saw it sitting in a local Junk Yard 3 months ago. Love at first site but the lack of funds prevented the purchase. Well, soon later the Junkyard closed down and then opened back up just as quick. Thats when my friend called me and said *Hey, they opened up Smith Bros and they still got that wagon for sale. I immediatly called and set up a date I could look at the car for the second time. My friend and I quickly went and talked to the guy about the car. He wanted 800 bucks for it, I told him I didnt have but I did (even though I had 960 dollars at home). Well, I went and talked to him again and asked him *If I came up here this week with 400 dollars cash, from my hand to yours, would you take it? He thought about it, then said yes. So, my friend and I later picked it up on his race car trailor. This picture is about 2 days after I got it.

This photo was taken the same day as the above. Paint is dirty, and the wheels are rusty in the usual places.

Interior, isnt it beautiful? lol. Back in 1983 this was the type of car you rode in with your Grandmother. Forever remembering the old smell of your grandmothers car. This car has Luxury, power locks, intermediate wipers, cruise control, wood grain interior, tilt steering, auto, power brakes, power steering, Air Conditioning, Very Comfortable seats and A built in clock. Plus, all the wiring inside works. Lights, turn signals, EVERYTHING! Well, the horn and sterro dont work, simply because their isnt any. lol

The motor is a 3.8 (non-turbo) with 2-barrel back-feed carburator. The motor was just rebuilt not too long ago. Well the guy at the junkyard told me the cam was broken. Yeah right, I tore the intake and valve covers off and cranked the motor over, the valve train moves so no broken cam. Its getting gas also so thats helpful. The guys tore off the oil pump, wiring and Distributor. Ive managed to put them back together so I hope they work fine. But, the motor is so clean inside. Im picking up some valve cover gaskets, intake manifold Tuesday. While im their, im gonna order a new bigger cam with lifters. I might try to get some other goodies. Plus the one guy that works their said he has headers for it, will they fit the car itself? Who knows. Worth a try though. I cant wait.

This is a picture of the passenger side head of the buick 3.8. Clean aint it? yes indeed.

Her all cleaned up. My camera is junk and I dont know why its taking crappy photos. Did I mention this car got painted about a year ago? The base is Root Beer brown with metallic, and the clear has a red and silver sparkle additive in it. Its not PERFECT but its good enough for me.

All sparkly. Thanks to Mequiars wax/polish the paint is sparkling more than it ever has. The crhome trim and wheels were nicely cleaned up by SOS pads and water/degreaser solution. SOS pads took off the rust and corrosion so easily it wasnt funny. Did I mention, I payed 400 bucks for this car? I think I got a good deal and im very happy with it :)
